Will this setup work? (Second display)

I have an iMac and I want to connect a second display to it.

Would that work as a second display? I'd like it to also work as a TV.

Will I have to buy an connector cable, or is there one somewhere in the packaging of my iMac?

cable wont work you need a mini display port to HDMI
display will be fine
