Hi, my cousin got his dad to gift him his 2.0GHz first generation MBP that came with an 80GB hard drive; he now wishes to upgrade it to THIS hard drive. It uses the same interface but its a 250GB-er and Mactracker reports that first gen only had the BTO option up to 120GB. Would there be any problems doing such upgrade?? BTW Im more than able to perform the upgrade but Im not acknowledge about the physical limitations inside Core Duo machines regarding HDDs. Thanks in advance.

If you can't order online go to your local best buy and purchase a passport wdc drive and crack open the case. Cheaper than new egg by 10 bucks.

That is if you're in the United States.

Except NewEgg has a great return policy and free shipping on this drive.

If you buy the one from Best Buy you have to pay tax, plus if you crack it open you won't have warranty if the drive needs replacing.
