Will this tpu case from fully laced give good protection

I just got it the just blue tpu case(for the second time), & I'm in love with the color but I'm not sure it gives the protection I need, I drop phones all the time, & this case protected it at least once from a bad drop on concrete but I'm wondering if it will chip the sides taking it on & off since I have to take it out the bottom half to plug into aux cords... Also anyone know how to clean the greasy stains the back gets? & are tpu cases known to be super protective?
