Will this work in my iMac?

Just a quicky, wondering if anyone can let me know whether the radeon 6790M will fit, work and be restorable via osx restore disc. I have the base model 21.5 2011 imac. Currently has the 6750M.

Technically you mean 6970. They jump from 10s to 100s for the top end.
I can't speak for its compatibility, but I have the mid-range 6770 and am very happy with its game performance in Bootcamp. I'm sure the 970 will be a great upgrade if it works out for you. For me, not upgrading video cards anymore is a big part of why I switched to Mac in the first place.

Yeah i meant 6970M lol. So the 6770 is good? hmm... could look at that instead if its alot cheaper.

I was the same but now i just cant stop taking mine apart! lol
