I want to load XP via Bootcamp OR virtual on my personal macbook pro. However I need my XP image for work and want to do my own backup instead of waiting for my slow desktop support to fix my image.

Soo, if I run Time Machine, will it notice all of my changes everynight (backup) that I make on my bootcamp image xp.

Time Machine will NOT backup your Boot Camp partition, as it is not formatted for Mac OSX but for Windows.

Look into Winclone to make backups fo your BC partition to your Mac OS X partition.
