I was thinking about getting the iPad 2 next week. It will have 4.3 installed on it. Now when updates come out and I update my iPad to a new version, when I connect my iPhone to sync will it automatically install new software to my iPhone, breaking my jailbreak. Whenever I sync now I tell my computer mot to install any updates, but with an iPad that I want updated, will it mess with my phone, or do they keep the updates separate? Thanks for the help.

The two are totally separate devices as far as iTunes is concerned.

Do you park them in the same driveway?

Haha well the real important issue is do they switch which space they are parked in in the driveway... the overlap could cause an erroneous failure transfer in the braking application!!!:D

Straight Answer

iTunes will notify you that there is an update available for your iPhone. But it won't upgrade it unless you tell it to. Looks like 4.3 is going to be an unthethered jailbreak right out of the gate though, so it may not matter too much
