Hi i have a 2G 16gb Iphone that I purchased from asia prior to the ipone's coming out in Australia. The phone was not locked and my telstra sim card worked as soon as i put it in the phone, it also adjusted and worked to my existing itunes version. Now i want to upgrade/update my itunes so i can purchase movies and the like, however, before i do so, i want to make sure that my iphone wont lock. Is there anyone that can answer this question and give me basic advice on whether i can update my itunes to 7.7.1 and if i do whether it will lock my phone, and if my phone locks what do i do then?

Im not up with the technology and what locks iphones and how to fix locked iphones etc....

If anyone can help that would be great

cheers!

no it will not lock .... updating itunes has nothing to do wth the phone
and even if you lock your phone somehow (not with updating itunes !)
its a matter of minute (well maybe an hour) to unlock it again so don´t worry and have fun buying movies :)
