Will we be able to get O2 contract phones on release day?

Hi guys,

Looking at the Apple website it looks like the iPhone 5 will be available as payg on o2, Vodafone and 3 on release day.

My contract ended 9 months ago and I've been waiting for the iPhone 5 to be released.

When I upgraded to the iPhone 4 I reserved the phone on the Apple store online and queued up on the day to pick it up and they transferred my contract over. Will that happen this time? I didn't pay for the phone until I picked it up.

Are you an existing O2 customer? Hopefully they will do something decent for existing customers this time, I canned them when the 4S come out as they didn't offer pre orders!

Yes existing customer. So for the 4S was it not available on release day then?

yes it was availible on release day you just had to queue up and it was only open to new customers
