No one really knows. Just because we could in the past doesn't mean we will in the future

I doubt it. Tim cook said he wanted to have more people in stores buying after the release of the iphone 5

However, I hope so, I didn't like the fact we had to "order" the 5s and wait to receive it through the post.

I went out early to get one but that's not the point. I pre-ordered the 5 and got it at 0900 on release day.

actually i did , took it to the apple store & got a new one because it had apple care , because they called the owner and she had gotten a galaxy s5
and didn't steal it *flips weave*
 
If you were able to do it with the 5S, then you should be able to order the 6. I'm waiting two months when all the madness is over.

going in and getting it is much easier. for the iPhone 5 i went on release day and got in line before at&t opened and had to wait about a half hour. its a cool experience, much better than waiting at home constantly checking to see if tracking has updated.

My dad simply preordered it and wallah, at 1 o'clock he got his 64GB white iPhone 5 on launch day. Much less hassle than going and waiting in line. Me, I had it easy, I waited until the 5c came out.
 
I really would prefer preorder. I have done the waiting in line thing, and freaking hated it. Plus in September it's gets super busy at my job, so there is no chance to stand in line.

I think the OP was more or less asking what we thought, or want to happen. Not what will because everyone knows none of us have a clue what Apple will do.
