Will we ever see unlocked GSM iPhones in the US?

Now that the exclusivity contract is up, where are the unlocked GSM iPhones?

I'd love for people to be able to buy factory-unlocked phones in the US. You can buy them in Canada and in many other countries now, I think the US is the last holdout.

Where else would you use it besides AT&T?

Verizon? Nope. Sprint? Nope. T-Mobile? Sure, if you only want EDGE.
