Will we see Quad core in 13 inch MBP in 2013?

I have the late 07 white MB. Since it's not making the cut for OSX ML, I'm planning to upgrade mine. I'll be getting 13 inch MBP, however, I can still wait until next year. Hopefully we'll see Quad core in 13 inch MBP non-retina I still like to have the dvd drive.

My personal feeling is that we won't. I question the thermal capacity of the 13 inch and the additional burden it will add to the battery. The smaller footprint could be challenging, but It's sorta the thing Apple is known for.

Pretty much this. There's a good chance the 13" will have less efficient cooling AND more components packed into it. Add in the fact that the 10,2 MBP test leaked on Geekbench was a dual core, and I'd say the chances are pretty slim.

There are Ivy Bridge Quad core CPU's with a TDP of 35W, so a 13" MBP does have the thermal capacity for Quad core CPU's.

( Haswell is also going to have Quad Cores with a TDP of 35W also of course, since it's 22 nm also )

I'm almost certain that we may or may not see a 13" MBP quad core.

Its a good possibility. I think there will be a Quad Core option at least.
