I do not think there will be a huge crush for the 5S. Just preorder in the morning of drop by your local Apple store.
There are tons of people who are eligible and just waiting who will pre-order. There are others who need to switch carriers and are just waiting etc.
Personally, I don't see the I have to have the lastest the minute it comes out (of course I said that before I ordered my 4s and before I ordered my iPad Mini).
If I had a phone on contract and it was going to cost me a lot of money I don't see anything that would make me spend a lot - not just in the 5s - all the updates seem great but I can do everything i know I want to do on my old phone so why spend a lot of money.

Yeah, that's what I did last year, just walked into Apple store on my launch break and bought iPhone 5 in 2 minutes flat.
I bet it sells out within a couple of hours. There are a ton of 4S users ready for an upgarde.
If it were the iPhone 6 I might agree but not for the 5S.

You have to understand that there are a lot of people that did not buy the iPhone 5.

quick question so i dont make a new thread. Does apple's website only do preorders, or are you able to preorder from somewhere like best buy? i want to preorder the 5s but i have a big best buy gift card i would like to use.
Maybe the both of you should go ahead and get your sleeping bag out and head on down to the store.

Me either but I love to watch them camping on the news.
I have always ordered, on line, and had mine delivered the day of introduction. No muss and no fuss, just a relaxing day waiting on delivery.
Never know. What if preorders happen the day of the keynote and available Friday of that week?
That may be the only secret that has not be revealed with all the leaks of this keynote.
Yeah there probably will be a delay, however since all tmobile iPhones come unlocked once purchased out right you could consider that an unlocked version.
