I have an iPhone 16, an M4 Mac Mini, and an M2 iPad Air. Wife has an M3 MacBook Air. No need to upgrade any of these at this time. I think the new releases are fine, but for our usage what we have should serve us for a good long while.

I definitely agree with you. Wise choice

I will. I have some money from work (use it or lose it) left to spend before FY25 ends in June, so I’ll be buying very well equipped M4 Max Mac Studio.

Upgrading to a Mac Pro if / when it has something better than the M3 Ultra. M4 Max MBP will hold me over until then, it’ll be quite a few months before I need more than 128GB memory for my work so I’m content to wait and not buy this stopgap.

I like the Light Blue Air a lot but wish it had a better screen. Hope they keep the color around when they do finally update it.

I’d have bought the M4 Max Studio if I didn’t already have the MBP, but I actually think the MBP upcharge is kind of worth it for once given how amazing the nano screen is and having portability as an option.

Really looking forward to the inevitable TB5 display(s).

I moved over from my old Surface Pro 6 to a MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) on release last year, and I wanted a secondary device for redundancy. Originally I'd contemplated the Mini (due to price), but since working on some AI/LLM stuff, I had my eyes on the Studio, if it came out with 128GB RAM, to do the "heavy lifting" and release the pressure on my MBP. I had expected to have a few more months to save up for it, but I can just about squeeze the funds out right now - so that's my purchase.

I'm considering the new Studio as a replacement for my current Mac Pro (Late 2013). It's been serving me very well, but last year it started throwing random CPU-related kernel panics. Right now my major annoyance is the unsupported OS without the ability to upgrade.
