As Jobs said, it is a non issue.

If it's that much of a problem, get a bumper.

Beating a dead horse already, but every phone loses signal when being held.

I'm not going to return but I'm not happy. They better do something. And every phone doing this is BS.

This. The bumper solves it and looks pretty damn good to boot.

No, it isn't that big a deal and I am getting a bumper anyway so it will be a non issue.

Jobs calling it a non-issue is a little absurd from my perspective, but I don't believe that it is something warranting returning a phone over. I do not own one yet and do not have any immediate plans to buy one, but even if I did I wouldn't let this stop me. Most people I would think would (or should) get a case simply for protecting the phone from any drops or scratches, and this would also help solve the antenna issue.

Should you have to pay $29 to solve a problem with the device's design? No, but at the same time paying $29 seems like the better alternative over returning a luxury phone that is otherwise fine for another phone with fewer features.

Lets give it a few days for everything to fall into place. Were you expecting Steve to call a global iPhone 4 recall on launch day?

I don't know. With the way I hold my phones, this isn't an issue really.

Dude, I don't know what planet you are on.

We bought phones to be able to make calls. If the phone loses ALL signal when you hold the phone to make a call then it does not do it's intended purpose. I am not going to buy something that it's intended use requires me to buy an accessory. Accessories are to ADD TO the product not make it function.

This is not beating a dead horse. I lose ALL signal just from holding the phone.

Sure, every phone loses some amount of signal when being held, but not to the point where there is no signal. Big difference.

Be careful. You might choke on what you're swallowing.
