I recently did a hard disk upgrade on my alu macbook, used time machine no issues, then i used winclone to replace my windows.

trouble i have now is that it takes about 5-10 mins to load windows then all is fine - wierd?

it's the same in either bootcamp or booting into the bootcamp partition using parallels

at first all i get is a black screen as if it's frozen then if i leave it takes literally ages windows suddenly burst's into life.

trouble is while its frozen the osx is nearly unusable?

another strange behaviour i have experienced is, if i force quit parallels it shows as closed but still loads windows in the back ground i know this because after about 5 mins the win 7 start up music goes off in the back ground.

anyone with any ideas would help, help before i do a re-install of win 7 (which i don't really want to do)

It sounds like a service may be hanging on start. I would check your system event viewer (right-click My Computer, then go to Manage) to see if there's anything in the logs. Check around the time of start up to see if there are any errors or warnings.
