I have Win 8.1 installed without any problems so far on my iMac 12,2, exepct the known audio and sleepmode problems. On an external harddisk Mavericks. Problem is, recently, I installed Mavericks new on this ext. harddisk shot my Win 8.1 bootsector, and nothing helped to get it repaired via automatic repair options in Windows or manually. Btw. the Win 8.1 own backup solution don't works; after the recovery is done, there was a error code shown. Winclone doesn't worked for me too.

Question: is there any possibility, to backup the bootsector of my iMac, that a new install of Mavericks or 10.10 in the future don't overwrite my bootsectors of the internal Win 8.1? Any ideas? Thx!
