im currently running 10.8 and seeing if there is any users out there who have windows 8 and bootcamp works well.

when i was on 10.6 i ran windows 7 bootcamp and installing was hard because i could not boot from a CD, had an optibay and still do. so when i installed win7 i had to reinstall my cd drive to get it to work

is this problem still present with 10.8? i want to install win8 but do not want to install my cd drive again and i want to do a clean install of win8

There are different ways to download Windows 8 without a cd drive. You can download Oracle and then download a Windows 8 image file. Then you can run Windows 8 without bootcamp all together.
