Hey guys,

Having an odd problem with my Bootcamp Win7 x64 install the last couple days (This is on a Mac Pro 3,1, 2.8GHz, Win 7 ultimate x64). It's the latest item on a list of issues that have come up over the last 6 months or so, in this order:

-For a while now (several months at least, can't remember exactly) I've been getting an error when I log in, immediately after entering my login password, related to SLUI.EXE (can't remember the exact error), but I just press Ok and it logs in, seemingly slowly but it works.

-For a few weeks I've been getting a strange DOS-looking boot menu when I boot up my Bootcamp partition, allowing me to select either Windows 7 or Windows Vista TM Business. Selecting Windows 7 gives an error, and selecting Vista (which I have never installed or owned) boots up Windows 7.

-Since about 2-3 days ago, my Wifi won't connect fully to my home network. All my other devices have had no issues, but I rebooted my router to be sure that wasn't the issue. It sees the network, along with several others nearby, but when I connect it says Unrecognized Network, limited connectivity, no Internet access, etc etc. Even trying to load the router setup page doesn't work. There is one unprotected network in range, that I was able to connect to the first day that I had this issue, but now I get an error on that one. Maybe they set up MAC filtering, I don't think that's the case though.

I tried using the Win7 install disc to "upgrade" Windows 7, but since it's confused about the version it won't allow me to do that. My Mac Pro discs are in storage, so I don't want to do a fresh install, because I believe most of the drivers I need are on the Apple media. I booted up from the Win7 disc and ran the Repair tool, which supposedly "identified and fixed a boot issue." Now it shows ONLY Windows Vista!

I'm so confused, I have no idea what's happening. The only issue I REALLY need fixed is the Wifi one, so I'm going to try turning off the encryption on my router and see if that'll allow me to connect. Not exactly a permanent solution though...
