I installed a new Bootcamp with Win7 on a separate disk in my MacPro 2009 running OS 10.8.5. When I boot with "option" pressed, WIN7 appears as a start up option in the selection window.

However, In System Preferences>Startup Disk, Win7(Bootcamp) is not visible. Is this normal?

It *should* appear there, unclear why it isn't unless due to Win being on a separate drive. Did you use boot camp assistant to install Win on the other drive?
