Win7 convert question about half screen gesture

Hi.

You know that win7 gesture where you drag the window off the side and it automatically snaps back to take up half the screen? I use that all the time to compare documents on my 24" monitor.

Does OSX have a function like this?

Not natively.

SizeUp http://www.irradiatedsoftware.com/sizeup/ does what you want.

There may be cheaper or free alternatives, but SizeUp gets it done for me.
