Hey guys,

what are the best apps for windows7-like window management via shortcuts?
i found moom and divvy, but are there any free alternatives?

recently switched from windows to osx and thats the only thing i'm missing.

I just moved across from Windows to OSX as well. Give BetterTouchTool a try. It has the ability to program gestures or your own keyboard shortcuts (Windows resizing and snapping included).

You're welcome! It is a bit complicated, but it's such a timesaver. For example, I've mapped a five finger click to 'Close Window Below Cursor'. It basically enables me to close windows even in Mission Control.

You can do loads of small tweaks that just speed things up a bit, globally or for a specific application.
