Window opens too large

I have a window in Maya that opens too large. I've hid the dock, changed resolution, tried to push 'return', hit the '+' at the top of the window but nothing seems to be working. on windows, i could hit alt+space+m to move the window with the keyboard, but not sure what to do on this mac.
