window resizing - width only?

Hey,

Bit of a strange one i know but is it possible to have the window resize when the user logs in. But only the width not the height.

Basicly i have a background image and i want the width to be set so when the user comes to the site it adjusts to the correct width but keeping the original height.

Is it possible?

You'd have to use JavaScript to do it, but your visitors will be annoyed. No one likes their browser size messed with. I have such JavaScript blocked so it can't do anything to my browser like that.
