window server running amuck

Every now and again the window server back ground process will just go nuts and start using 98% of my CPU.

Yikes I have almost filled my 200gig HD though.

besides I would rather fix the problem rather than let the uninstall/reinstall ban hammer take care of things

I have found that if I open up system preferences and alter the appearance settings between blue and graphite that the problems goes away

Apparently the highlighting is the important thing
