Setup:
-MacPro5,1
-MacOS ”High Sierra” 10.13.6
-Windows 10 (UEFI mode)
-Nvidia GTX 1070
So this used to work fine, but now when I attemp too boot into Windows 10 (even by removing all other drives except the one that has Windows 10 installed on it) I just get to a black screen and then nothing. The LED on my mouse (SteelSeries) turns off (it's usually on when the computer is on) and the LED for the caps lock on my keyboard doesn't turn on when pressing it, which usually mean there's no input from the keyboard going through.
What I did the other day was trying put back the Mac EFI 5870 that came with the computer and then Windows 10 booted fine. For some reason it seems Windows thought the graphics drivers for the Nvidia GPU was gone... Anyway, after some time in Windows (and the AMD driver having been re-downloaded by Windows Update – I manually removed them previously) I turned off the computer and put back the Nvidia card and then it booted fine into Windows 10 and I installed the latest drivers.
But today when I again wanted to boot into Windows 10 from MacOS (decided to remove all drives except the Windows 10 drive since I had SIP enabled) I got to the same point: black screen with no mouse nor caps lock LED and then nothing happens.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
Edit:
Now I managed to get it to work again after putting back the 5870 and doing some Windows Updates – let's see if it lasts…
Edit 2:
Still happens from time to time. Don't know what's causing it.
