Hello.

I will have the option to run windows 10 on 12 inch basic model macbook?

It will run fast or get stuck?

Bootcamp or Parallels?

I have used both on my 2016 MacBook M5 but have settled on Parallels as it is less hassle managing backups and reconfiguring partitions.

It certainly won't get stuck !

People have very different ideas about what "Fast" means, but unless you are expecting to run games, it is highly usable.

To give you an idea:

Geekbench score macOS: 6320
Geekbench score Windows 10 in Parallels: 4505

Cinebench score macOS: 250
Cinebench score Windows 10 in Parallels: 172

I have 8GB RAM and Memory Pressure never went above 56% (stayed green) while running the above benchmarks. Parallels is set to the use two processors and 1536MB of RAM, GPU 512 MB. These are the recommended settings.

I also did a couple of runs with four processors and 4GB of RAM, with GPU 1GB, and got:

Geekbench Windows 10: 5250
Cinebench Windows 10: 220

With these settings Memory Pressure went up to 83% (still green).
