I searched the forums and found very dated posts pertaining to the problems that occur when trying to install Windows 7 64bit on a June 2007 MacBook Pro (MBP 3,1). It is a 64bit computer, but its not on Apple's capability list. Does anyone know what will happen if I install W7 64bit and then install bootcamp drivers from my SL disk? Does it work correctly now, or will I have to search around for drivers?

As you say, it's not on the 64 bit compatible list, so the Apple installer will basically just say no. Drivers for most everything will already be built in to W7, you will just need to install BootCamp64.msi manually to get drivers for the custom stuff like iSight, etc...
