Hello all,

I have a 2006ish 20" imac with a 2.16 processor 3gb ram 250GB hd running 10.6. I am currently running Parallels software with XP pro. I have 2 installs of xp one under bootcamp (gaming) and the other under parallels (work). I would like to upgrade to windows 7 64 bit under the bootcamp side. I can wipe the old xp so a fresh install isn't an issue. The question is will the imac 2.16 support 64 bit? are there drivers for the hardware? has anyone done this? any help would be appreciated.

you're going to get a message 'boot camp x64 is unsupported on this computer model'

you can still install them if you run command prompt as an admin and type in the following commands (the first command assumes your optical drive is labeled D: , if not then make the appropriate change)

cd /d D:

cd Boot Camp\Drivers\Apple

BootCamp64.msi

i just had to do this with boot camp 3.0 drivers off snow leopard disc on my mbp in signature
