I've had my iPod Touch 1g for over 2 years now, just recently got an iPhone 4 on Verizon. Ever since I synced my iPhone 4, my iPod touch 1g won't show up in iTunes anymore unless I run in compatibility mode.

I'm running Windows 7 Pro X64. I've tried uninstalling iTunes, even cleared the registry, uninstalled the Apple Mobile Device USB drivers, tried updating them. I'm currently running iTunes 10.2.2.12, iPod touch is 3.1.3, iPhone 4 is 4.2.6.

I can only see my iPod Touch 1g if I start iTunes in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3. The problem is then it makes Windows 7 go crazy, there's an annoying pop up each time telling me that I'm running iTunes in compatibility mode, then Windows Aero gets disabled and makes everything else go crazy temporarily.

If I uninstall both the iPhone 4 and iPod Touch drivers, then only install the iPod Touch, it shows up normally in iTunes. It seems that once I install my iPhone, it updates the drivers or something, and the iPod stops working.

Anyone else that has an iPod touch 1g and an iPhone on Windows 7 having similar issues? I'm out of ideas how to make it work correctly.
