Windows 7 apps on windows 8.

Can I run windows 7 or even vista apps on windows 8?
And any word on when boot camp'll support windows 8.
 
In my experience, all of my apps that I had used on Windows XP, Vista, and 7 have worked fine on Windows 8. Although, I have not yet tried all of my games yet.
