A little background information...
I recently bought windows 7 online so that I can install it through boot camp. The product came with a registration key and an ISO file. I downloaded and burned the ISO onto a blank CD. Everything was going great until I got to the window installation screen. My mac restarted and rather than opening up Mac OS, it opened up windows 7. I was like great, we're on a good track. I get to the installation prompt, agreed to the license terms, and selected which type of installation I wanted. It gave me two option, "Upgrade" or "Custom (advanced)". I clicked upgrade because it was the recommended screen but I was greeted with the message...
"The computer started using the Windows installation disc. Remove the installation disc and restart your computer so that Windows starts normally. Then, insert the installation disc and restart the upgrade. (Do not select" Custom (advanced)" to perform an update. "Custom (advanced)" installs a new copy of Windows and deletes your programs and settings."
I cannot eject my CD because the eject function on the keyboard is not working or is not recognized for the windows program. I was wondering if there was a way to work around this problem?
Note: My mac is running El Capitan, Early 2009. I'm not sure what update it is on but it is the latest you can get to date for my model.
