I'm using a mac mini using an apple display with Windows 7 64 bit. I recently installed it, and ever since, there's a 50-50 chance that whenever I start it up the screen automatically dims to the minimum. The only way to fix it is to start up OSX, use the system preferences to set the brightness back to its original setting, then restart Windows 7 hoping that it will stay bright.
I heard that there's supposed to be some sort of brightness slider or something in the boot camp control panel, but all I see are the options to start up in mac or windows, to disable remote controlled infrared receiver, or to restart automatically after a power failure. I installed the most recent NVIDIA drivers, and used the NVIDIA control panel too, but to change the brightness all it did was make the screen white.
Any solution? I last used XP, and I used something called WinACD for it that helped change the brightness for mac monitors. However, I haven't found anything like this for 7. Any help?
