Windows 7 help!

hey guys! im new to this so i dont really know to much computer stuff haha.
But i used bootcamp to install windows 7 on my mac. i love it! but the only thing is i need more room for the games i am playing. i dont want to lose my progress in what i already have installed... and i dont know how to create a back up or anything... what should i do? thanks for any help!

Sorry, was a bit dreamy, but you may find the article/guide I wanted to link to on that very same page.

Use CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper to make bootable clone (1:1 copy = backup) or your Mac OS X partition (if necessary) to an external HDD and use Winclone (although not developed anymore, but still the only option right now AFAIK) to make an .iso file of the Boot Camp partition and use Winclone again to copy the data back after you successfully resized the Windows partition.

You can also use MRoogle to find dozens of similar threads pertaining resizing the Windows partition or Winclone or making a backup of your Windows partition.

Btw, and not to pee on your parade, what is up with the "lol"?

nut ok i used the winclone to copy my windows partition. but could i delete my windows partition and then reinstall it and make it bigger? then load the copy i made? because i dont want to buy any software...

Use Boot Camp Assistant to delete the Windows partition and then use it again to create a bigger partition and use Winclone to copy the data back.

k so i installed a new windows partition. i went bakk to winclone to restore the old windows image... and when i click restore it says "errors found. check log for details" AHHHHHHH! what do i do!

Post the log file. I can take a look. Either copy and paste from Winclone, or zip and upload the whole file found at ~/Library/logs/Winclone.log

One issue with Winclone is that the default settings are not recommended for Snow Leopard and W7. It was recommended you use DMG format and turn compression off for SL and W7.

For the record: What is happening here is similar to what was going on in another thread.

ERROR(16): Opening '/dev/disk1' as NTFS failed: Resource busy

The problem here is that /dev/disk1 isn't the image, it's the "Mass Effect" disc that is loaded.

So when you tried again, probably without the DVD in the drive, it worked fine.

Weird.
