I've read all the posts on the topic and none have worked.
I can see my PC in my Mac finder. If I click it, I get a connection failed error. If I connect to a server via SMP, it times out. It never asks me for a user name or password.
I can't see my Mac at all on my Windows 7 machine.
I have my Mac set to use SMP for Windows sharing.
I have shared folders on both machines.
On my Windows Network and Sharing Center, I have set the encryption lower, turned off password protected sharing, and checked the "use user accounts and passwords" as I have read to do.
Many posts talk about changing the Local Security Policy but there is no function like that in Home Premium.
It was all working fine on my Windows XP and Mac, until I bought a new PC with W7HP.
I'd like my Mac and my PC to each be able to see and share with the other. But if I could at least get one direction working, I'd be happy.
Help!
