New here but not to macs, and I appreciate this forum.

I have a late 09 iMac 27 running 10.6.

*I successfully partitioned the HD at about 60gb with BootCamp.
*Printed the BootCamp guide.
*Selected the "Start the Windows Installer"
*Inserted Brand New Windows 7 install disc - Clicked start
*Selected the Disc Partition 3 BOOTCAMP
*Drive options , then Format, then Next.

Mac OS powered down and Windows powered up.
Windows install screen appeared, install took about 35 mins.
Computer rebooted twice.

Now I am in a constant state of a black screen- no backlight,
and I hear the computer ticking away and the install cd is spinning (could be wrong on the spinning).
There is no white cursor in the upper screen as some others experienced.
It has been 10 hours now with just a black screen, and the back of the display is warm.

Usb mouse and keyboard are connect but no response from computer.

What is my next step? Do I wait longer or try to power down the machine?
If so, what is the best way to achieve that?

Thanks in advance.
