windows 7 on External HDD

Hello , i have a MBA 2012 11'' ,

and i have dual boot OSX and windows 7 but the free space on both is very little. Is it possible to install windows 7 on an external HDD and run them from there ? i have a WD 1TB EX HDD ...

Provided that guide works, you have to figure out/google about booting W7 from the HDD, but:
