I am currently running windows xp but thinking about using windows 7 instead.

Few questions though.

1 Apples website says these iMacs dont support W7:

iMac (17-inch, begin 2006)
iMac (17-inch, eind 2006)
iMac (20-inch, begin 2006)
iMac (20-inch, eind 2006)
MacBook Pro (15-inch, begin 2006)
MacBook Pro (17-inch, eind 2006)
MacBook Pro (15-inch, eind 2006)
MacBook Pro (17-inch, begin 2006)
Mac Pro (medio 2006, Intel Xeon Dual-core 2,66 GHz of 3 GHz)

How to find out if mine is one of these?

2 My iMac has like 2GB of RAM, 2,3 ghz duocore cpu (afaik). If i can install W7 will it run smoothly?

3 Do i have to delete the xp partition and use the bootcamp assistant all over? Or can i just boot up xp ,and insert the W7 install disk to install?

Thx in advance guys.

1. To find out what Mac you have:

2. You might need more RAM, but 2GB might be enough for your needs.

3. You should be able to just update the current Windows XP installation with Windows 7.

Thx for the quick answer m8! I found out i have a iMac 5,1 so that should do. Does anyone have any experience with running windows 7 with 2GB of ram?
