Windows 7 or 8 for Parallels or Bootcamp

Will 8 just be another Millenium and Vista or should I just install 7?
Or is installing 8 future proofing with my Mavericks?
How much partitioning should I allocate the windows on my 256GB flash or can I install it on my 32GB 3.0 USB thumb drive.

I would go parallels if you can, as rebooting really is a pain just to run a wimdows app. Save Bootcamp for gaming/high performance apps only. (Parallels will also work using a Bootcamp partition.)

If you already have a copy of windows 7, I don't think it is worth it to upgrade to 8, as it is geared toward touch screens. Window 7 is hard to find now however, so you may be forced to buy windows 8.
