I got a problem here:

I was trying to run Windows 7 on Parallels 6 and I set to 2 CPUs and 2GB RAM but it was horrifying slow that I notice my ram down to 16mb left. WOW.

Now, I wonder if it's the best just to bootcamp without having two OS running on top each other in this situation.

My system spec:

MacBook Pro 15
Core i7 2.66Ghz
4GB RAM
500 GB @ 7200 RPM

Something is not right that running on parallels is almost unusable.

There's something definitely wrong with your Win7 config/install. I have it running very well on 1GB of RAM in Parallels 5.

My MBP is the 2.4 Core i5.

EDIT: Don't worry about RAM usage as that's what modern OS's do in terms of caching.

I am running the exact configuration that you are with the same settings. Windows 7 is flying, it is Mac OS that is dog slow for me when I have the VM running. I have 8GB on the way - hopefully it will solve my issues.
