Windows 7 Professional Upgrade + Virtual box??

Will the upgrade version of Windows 7 Professional work with virtual box? Or would I have to get the retail version? I am a student at a University and would be able to download Windows 7 Professional for 29.99 and just wanted to see if it would work or not. Thanks!

the key is all you need. your better off using the key and borrowing the install disc from a friend. There are other ways to do it though.

Here's what I did: Used a friends windows 7 home premium disc, installed on my machine but did not activate windows. Used this to download the W7 professional student upgrade (can't download in osx). Used a tool to make it into an iso (google it), then burned the dvd, installed W7pro over the home premium and used the key I purchased.

All is well and I'm in windows right now actually.
