Windows 7 reboot = option key disabled.

So everytime I need to reboot windows 7 running on boot camp, it will disable the option key so i am FORCED to boot into OSX. Only after a reboot from OSX or holding the power button will it let me use the option key again.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this issue? It's very annoying.

Anyway, I hold it even before it makes the sound, it definitely doesn't work no matter how early I hold it down.

Yes, because I'm such a noob here and never help anyone.

OPTIONS:

Do you have a USB mouse? Apple Remote? Either of these can also be used to bring up the boot selector as well.

Use Boot Champ from http://kainjow.com to select Windows before you reboot, ...

Install rEFIt.

But before you do any of that, zap your PRAM once or twice and see if it improves.
