Hi everyone,
This is my first post so i have no idea where to post this. I'm having a headache with a bootcamp windows install, I hope one of you can assist.
I had windows 7 ultimate installed perfectly with no problems until I upgraded my RAM from 2GB to 4GB with Crucial's 4GB upgrade kit for MacBook (see specs below). I made sure it was the correct RAM type and it works fine in OSX.
I booted Windows and found it was no longer working, i think i just got a blank screen. After a couple of attempts, i removed the windows partition through bootcamp and tried a reinstall of Windows 7 Ultimate x64, everything seems to go well until the last minute, then a warning popup screen appears saying windows can't install, something about compatibility (the message appears for a split second, never enough time to read it!). Then the computer restarts to the blank screen again.
I've tried reinstalling a few times in a few different ways, searched around the net for a solution and am now completely lost.
Please help! I will owe you beer if you can fix this!
I'm running a white MacBook 13" early 2009, specs as follows:
Processor 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 4 GB (Crucial) 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM (Upgraded from 2GB)
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 (11C74)
