Windows 7 without Nvidia graphics

Is there a way to use windows 7 without the graphics card to save battery?
A gfxcard status app for windows 7?

IIRC there isnt a way to use the intel card in windows. and i think that gfxCardStatus was developed based on the code apple uses for graphics switching or something like that so i dont think it will be portable to windows....i might be wrong though
