Windows 7 Won't Start Install: Blinking Underscore

I am having a problem with OS X and Windows; I can't start the install of Windows 7. When I press "Start Installation" in BootCamp assistant, my Mac (early 2008) reboots, and loads the Windows disc. However, this is where the problem occurs. Once the disc is loaded, the first screen just hangs there. The screen is the one before the screen where the installation loads Windows files. ("Loading Windows Files") I have done a clean install of Snow Leopard and it still won't start the installation process.

Forgot to mention: The damn ********* installed perfectly fine with Parallels.

Any ideas?


Update: The Windows 8 Dev Preview installed perfectly!
