Windows 7 x64 on iMac 8,1 - HELP!

Hi everyone,

I want to run Windows next to Mac OS X on my early 2008 iMac 8,1 and I've installed Windows 7 x64 Ultimate. However, if I try to install the 64-bit Bootcamp-software, it says my computer is not compatible with x64 Bootcamp.

I've tried many solutions that are described on the internet, but it still doesn't work.

Is this even possible at all of do I have to install the x86 Windows 7?
