Whats the whole point of Windows 8 if they bringing back the Start Menu in Update 2, I though Microsoft wants Windows 8 to go in a new direction of the interface Metro (Modern UI), They said you can use it for Both touch screen and desktop usage with mouse and keyboard this have to do a bit more work, What is the point of Windows 8.1 Update 1, I think is stupid making it more friendly for there's that whine about it, isn't it for mouse and keyboard this have to click a bit more, The Title Bar makes the Modern UI Apps looks more stupid it was this fine the way it was with Windows 8.1 they didn't need to change that in update 1, Microsoft are becoming a bunch of idiots making Windows look more stupid then it should.

They're making changes to the OS as requested by a lot of people.

The Metro UI does not work well for desktop/laptop computers that are not touchscreen.

IMO, this is the best and cleanest version of Windows to date - not the stupidest. Once installing a start menu and getting used the new way of working, it is a clean, fast and fluid OS.

They are not completely changing the way it works - tablets can still use the current modern interface where non-touch devices and people who prefer not using the touchscreen get a hybrid between the two interfaces. The modern apps work really well - people just don't want to get used to them unless they are in a windows on the deskop.

Also, don't forget that most of the Windows 8 users (without prefernce for a touchscreen) probably are already using a program such as Start8, StartIsBack or Classic Shell anyway.
