i have lion, and i would love to be able to install windows 8 through boot camp. i have .iso file for windows 8. i cant use a disk to boot it, only a jumpdrive. does anyone know how to install windows 8 using a jumpdrive?

Run the Boot Camp Assistant to partition your hard drive and download the support files to a flash drive then use Disk Utility to burn the iso to a DVD and restart while holding down the "C" key.

He said he can't use a DVD--flashdrive only.

Put the ISO on the flash drive. Run bootcamp, close bootcamp after it tells you to insert dvd. Install rEFIt (google this). Boot to the flash drive. Install windows to bootcamp partition.

ok thank you, i will try this today and see if it works

what kind of formatting would i need to use on the jump-drive and bootcamp partition? FAT?
