I have the two 64bit versions of Windows 8 Dev Preview on DVD & DL DVD and wonder if it's worth trying on my MBA. I have Windows 7 on my Mac Mini and wonder if it's as easy to get Windows 8 and drivers to install on the MBA. What would be the minimum partition size for W8 ? I wonder if I should wait for at least a beta version W8.

I suggest you post this on the windows on a mac. They have more windows on a mac users there. the Macbook air area is fine but more specific hardware questions and such. You can find this under the forums menu.
I'd wait for at least a beta. Since it's pretty different than 7, you may have driver issues early on.
Worked okay for me, there are some guides around to sort out the bootcamp drivers and then you're all set. Only issue I had was that up/down on the Metro menu scrolled left/right, but thats it.
I'd probably wait for a beta though, I didn't keep Windows 8 on my MBA for long.
