It seem to be a none issue for most people, but I am very annoyed by the slow boot on my iMac 12,2 27"! Around 50-60 seconds boottime on standard harddisk, what annoyes me the most, is the delay from power on (white screen) to the first boot sign of windows that lasts about 25 seconds.
I have tried an Efi install and a Bios install. Even BCD with editing boottime to 0 seconds didn't have any effect.
There is only Windows 8 installed on the internal harddisk, but I have to boot my OSX systems from external harddisks from time to time. Any ideas what causes that delay on a fresh Windows 8 with no big programs installed? Usually it should boot in no longer time of half a minute.
