On Windows 8 (Pro), I regularly get Action Center notifications that I should start background maintenance. When tried on my 2012 Retina MacBook Pro from Boot Camp, if I accept it, the CPU starts working extremely loudly, as if it's going to barbecue itself. Does it also happen to you? I hope I don't need an external heatsink or fan for the laptop... From Parallels it also heats up, but nowhere as much (probably being throttled by the VM that also runs nicely under OSX).
